I received an M.A. in Foreign Language Education and Research from Kansai University, Osaka, Japan. I learned Japanese language education including second language acquisition, teaching methods, and grammatical and phonological knowledge. My research focused on Japanese educational grammar with an emphasis on the conjunctive particles.

I passed the Japanese Teaching Competency Test in 2018 and completed Postgraduate Certificate Courses in Japanese Language Teaching in 2021.

As for practical experiences, I worked as a teaching assistant in Japanese Language Preparatory Course at Kansai university in 2015. Additionally, I volunteered as a Japanese language tutor for international students at Kansai University in 2015 and 2017-2019. I also completed Japanese Teaching Practicum program in online elementary and intermediate classes at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand in 2020. I have just joined the Emory Faculty this semester as an instructor.
