Biography
Yu Lin received her Master's degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL) from Yunnan Minzu University and her second Master's degree in Education with Research and Globalization Focus from Moreland University. She also holds a certificate from the Creative Writing Program at Emory University of Continuing Education. Yu Lin has worked as a national sponsored teacher in both Thailand and US. She has profound experience teaching Chinese at Yunnan Minzu University, University of North Georgia, and Agnes Scott College. From 2018 to 2020, She has also worked as a Chinese instructor at Emory University, primarily instructing 101 & 301 language courses, and non-credit Chinese courses.
Yu Lin’s research interests mainly focus on second language acquisition, language pedagogy, teaching Chinese language for specific purpose and traditional Chinese culture. She works on the editorial committee of Chinese Language Teaching Methodology and Technology (CLTMT), an international refereed journal dedicated to the advancement of teaching and learning of Chinese as a second or foreign language.
