Yu received her Master in Language and Linguistics from University of New Hampshire. She’s currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of East Asian Studies at the University of Arizona. Her primary research focuses on second language acquisition, Chinese language pedagogy, Chinese syntax, and multilingual writing and tutoring. She has presented her research at many important national and international conferences.
Prior to joining Emory University, she taught Chinese in diverse contexts including college-level language courses, intensive summer language programs such as Princeton in Beijing and Arizona in Hangzhou, and Critical Languages Program for The Defense Language Proficiency Test.
