Biography
Suk Koo Rhee received his Ph.D. in English at Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. He is full professor of English, Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea. He currently serves as the managing editor of the scopus-indexed Situations: Cultural Studies in the Asian Context. His research areas include postcolonial literature, Asian American novel, contemporary literary theory, and Asian cultural studies. His recent monograph The Korean War Novels: Rewriting History from the Civil War to the Post–Cold War was published by Edinburgh UP (2024). He is appointed as the Underwood Distinguished Professor, a prestigious award given to a Yonsei faculty member who is internationally recognized for his or her research accomplishments. He is currently affiliated with Emory University as the Spr. 2025 Fulbright Korea Distinguished Chair.
