I received my M.A. in Teaching Japanese as a Second Language from Hiroshima University, Hiroshima, Japan in 2016. I learned teaching methods, second language acquisition and grammatical knowledge. My research focused on vocabulary acquisition and learning. I was interested in finding an effective way of learning polysemous verbs.
Before joining the Emory Japanese program in 2019, I worked as a Japanese Language House Assistant at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina during the 2013-2014 academic year. I also worked as a part-time teacher at Georgia State University and Oglethorpe University in 2019 Spring Semester. I am passionate about conducting communicative classes.
