Biography
I received my M.A. in Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language from Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea, and received another M.A in International Studies from Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea, specializing in Chinese Studies. I am currently a Ph.D candidate at Yonsei, where I have explored lexical connectivity of Korean language textbooks, with a focus on increase, repetition, and deepening.
I have worked as a Korean language instructor for over three years at the International Language and Culture Education Center (ILCEC) at Sangmyung University, Seoul, Korea. I primarily taught Korean grammar, listening, writing, and speaking to students ranging from beginner to intermediate, and taught Korean reading classes to intermediate and advanced language learners. I also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Georgia Tech LBAT(Language for Business and Technology) Korea program in the summer of 2018 and 2019.
I have certificates of Korean Language Teacher Level 2 and Level 3, certified by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Republic of Korea and a certificate of TESOL, certified by Sookmyung Women’s University in cooperation with the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, U.S.A.
